Purpose
The Southwest Parking Association strongly encourages professional development within the parking industry and to support this goal, a scholarship fund was established by the Board of Directors in 2004. In 2009, the scholarship fund was named in honor of one of the association’s founding members, Warren Reynolds, who served as Treasurer for the SWPA Board of Directors and retired in 2008 from Pima County (Arizona) after years of outstanding service in the parking and transportation industry.
Each year the association will award a minimum of $1,000 in financial assistance to SWPA members, and members of their organizations, who are attending a parking conference, training workshop or seminar in an effort to further their understanding of the parking and transportation profession. Preference is given to SWPA and International Parking Institute (IPI) sponsored events.
